Polytip Synthesizer Patch Cable

The Polytip synthesizer patch cable is a multi-core signal cable capable of carrying audio, CV, and gate signals through fully shielded conductors. When patching in, you will hear a click sound, indicating that the cable has softly locked into place. When unplugging, make sure to hold the cable by the jack and avoid pulling on the wire. If the cable doesn't insert fully or cannot be removed easily, check for foreign objects in the Polytip jack on the modules and inspect the pins on both the Polytip plug and the jack to ensure none are bent. In any case, do not apply force to the cable.

The Polytip uses a Type-C plug, similar to those used in USB-C cables. However, Polytip cables are not USB cables and should not be mistaken for them—they are strictly designed for synthesizer and audio use. Polytip patch cables are easily identifiable by an embossed TTA logo on the plug.

Because Polytip cables are a new type of connection, we recommend storing them alongside your other modular patch cables and away from USB cables or devices to avoid confusion.
